A website that looks good does not always work.

I've seen it firsthand. I once ran a business with a beautiful website, nice photos, polished design, and it still didn't bring in clients. Looking good and actually working are two different things.

Since then, working as a product designer in both start up and corporate setting, I've learned that clear communication and strategy win clients, not aesthetics alone. My focus is matching what your customers need with what your business needs to grow. And that doesn't mean sacrificing how your site looks. You get both.

I also handle strategy, design, photography, video, and copywriting myself, so your site stays consistent from message to image, without you juggling multiple vendors.

RE Gen

RE Gen is a non-profit organisation supporting Christian teens across Sydney, run entirely by volunteers. Its offerings include a free study centre, an annual convention, and resources created by teens for teens.

My work on this project extended beyond web design to include branding, custom photography and video, and migrating content from the organisation's previous WordPress site.

SEEK Grad (GradConnection)

I was the sole designer at GradConnection, now known as SEEK Grad. Throughout my time there, I led all UX and design initiatives, including supporting the team through acquisition and continuing my work through the site's rebrand to SEEK Grad.

Along the way, I contributed to the self-service journey enabling employers to post their own jobs, an AI-powered summary feature, a redesigned blog, the search engine, the employer profile page, and numerous other impactful initiatives.

Hey, I'm Ron. I know what it's like being the only person responsible for how a business presents itself and performs online, because I've done it. I was the sole designer at a startup called GradConnection, supporting the founders through to its acquisition by SEEK, where I now work as a senior product designer. Over a decade across graphic design, UX and product design, I've learned what actually gets people to action, not just what makes something look nice, and what to measure to know if it's working.
